This section contains documentation for the Morse-era protocol, which has been replaced by Shannon. This content is preserved for historical reference only. For current documentation, start at the homepage or About Pocket Network.
Pocket Network completed its upgrade from Morse to Shannon. The Shannon protocol is a complete rewrite built on Cosmos SDK with CometBFT consensus. It introduces relay mining, Token Logic Modules, modular governance, and a fundamentally new architecture.
If you’re looking for something that was in the old Morse docs, here’s where it likely lives now:
| Morse Topic | Shannon Equivalent |
|---|---|
| Running a node (pocket-core) | Supplier Staking + RelayMiner Setup |
| Staking (Morse) | Staking + Validator Delegation |
| pocket-core CLI | pocketd CLI |
| Migration from Morse | Morse Migration (below) |
