Soothe Vault Setup Guide
Soothe Vault is a browser extension wallet built specifically for the Pocket Network ecosystem. It’s the only wallet that manages both native POKT on Pocket mainnet and wPOKT on EVM chains (Ethereum, Base) in a single interface.
Before you start: Chrome, Brave, or Firefox. About 5 minutes for a fresh install. If importing, have your seed phrase, private key, or JSON keyfile ready.
Part 1: Install Soothe Vault
- Go to trustsoothe.io and click “Download Soothe Vault”
- Click “Add to Chrome” (or “Add to Firefox”) and confirm the installation
- Click the Soothe Vault icon in your browser toolbar (pin it for quick access)
Part 2: Create Your Vault and First Wallet
Your vault is the encrypted container that holds all your wallet accounts, protected by a password you set.
- Create your vault password. Click “Let’s Get Started” and set a strong password. This encrypts all wallet data stored locally.
- Create a new wallet. Choose “New Account”, select the network — “Pocket (Shannon Mainnet)” for native POKT, or “Ethereum” for wPOKT. Name it and click “Create”.
- Save your private key immediately. Click the three-dot menu → “Export Private Key”. Copy it and write it down offline.
- Note your wallet address. Pocket mainnet addresses start with
pokt1..., Ethereum addresses with0x....
Back up your private key or seed phrase immediately after creation. Your vault password cannot be recovered if lost. Without a backup, your funds are gone permanently.
Part 3: Import an Existing Wallet
Import via Seed Phrase
Open Soothe Vault → account selector → “Import Account” → “Seed Phrase” → enter your 12 or 24-word phrase → select network → name the account → “Import”.
Import via Private Key
“Import Account” → “Private Key” → paste the full key → select network → “Import”.
Import via JSON Keyfile
“Import Account” → “Portable Wallet File” → upload your JSON keyfile → enter the encryption password → “Import”.
Part 4: Using Soothe Vault with wPOKT
Soothe Vault supports wPOKT on Ethereum and Base in the same interface as native POKT.
Switching networks: Use the network selector (top left) to switch between Pocket mainnet, Ethereum, and Base.
Adding wPOKT: Switch to Ethereum or Base → “Add Token” → paste the verified wPOKT contract address from CoinGecko → confirm.
Sending wPOKT: Ensure you’re on the correct network → “Send” → enter recipient and amount → review gas fees (you need ETH for gas) → confirm.
Connecting to DEXs: Navigate to the DEX (Aerodrome, Uniswap, etc.) → “Connect Wallet” → select “Browser Extension Wallet” → approve in Soothe Vault.
Part 5: Managing Native POKT
Sending: Switch to “Pocket (Shannon Mainnet)” → “Send” → enter the pokt1... recipient address and amount → review and confirm.
Receiving: Click “Receive” to see your pokt1... address and QR code. Use this for bridging from wPOKT, receiving staking rewards, or transfers.
Verifying on-chain: Search your pokt1... address on POKTscan to independently verify balance and transaction history.
Part 6: Backup and Export
Use both backup methods — per-account key export AND full vault backup.
Export private key (per account): Select account → three-dot menu → “Export Private Key” → enter vault password → write it on paper, store offline.
Export seed phrase: If you created the wallet via seed phrase generation, three-dot menu → “Export Seed Phrase” → write it down in order.
Backup entire vault: Top-level three-dot menu → “Backup Vault” → save the encrypted file to an external drive (not cloud storage). The file is encrypted with your vault password.
Restore from backup: Fresh Soothe Vault install → “Restore from Backup” → upload file → enter vault password → all accounts restored.
Part 7: Shannon Migration (Morse → Shannon)
If you held native POKT before the Shannon upgrade (June 2025):
- Import your Morse wallet — select “Pocket (Morse Mainnet)” as the network
- Create a Shannon wallet — “New Account” → “Pocket (Shannon Mainnet)”
- Instantiate — Go to faucet.pocket.network, paste your Shannon address, send 1 MACT (free, registers your wallet on-chain)
- Migrate — Select your Morse wallet → “Migrate” → confirm both accounts → complete the claim
Part 8: Troubleshooting
Forgot vault password: If you have a backup file, reinstall and restore. If you have private keys or seed phrases, reinstall and import from scratch. Without either, funds cannot be recovered.
Balance not showing: Check you’re on the correct network. For wPOKT, manually add the token. Verify on-chain via POKTscan (native) or Etherscan (wPOKT).
Sent POKT to wrong network: wPOKT sent to a pokt1... address remains on Ethereum — search the transaction on Etherscan. Native POKT sent to an 0x... address — contact Pocket Discord #support.
Transaction stuck: On Ethereum, look for “Speed Up” or “Cancel” options. On Pocket mainnet and Base, transactions typically confirm within seconds.
DEX connection not working: Make sure the DEX page is loaded, select “Injected Provider” when prompted, and verify Soothe Vault is on the correct network for that DEX.
