POKTscan Explorer Guide

POKTscan is the primary block explorer and analytics platform for Pocket Network Shannon. Built by the Soothe team, it covers the full picture: relay analytics, tokenomics, node performance, governance, and detailed blockchain data across every actor type.

Homepage — Network at a Glance

The homepage gives an instant snapshot of network health. No login or wallet connection required.

Live stats: Total Suppliers, total staked POKT, latest block, indexer block, computed units (24h), relay count.

Charts: Computed Units (30d trend), Supply Evolution (total supply over time — should trend down with PIP-41 active), Staked Validators/Suppliers/Apps evolution, Services by volume (24h), Biggest Gainers.

The search bar at the top of every page accepts:

  • Wallet address (pokt1...) — balance, staking status, transaction history
  • Transaction hash — full transaction detail
  • Block height — navigate to a specific block
  • Service ID (e.g. eth) — service-specific data

Address Lookup

Search any pokt1... address to see: balance, stake amount and status, stake type, registered services, output address, and complete transaction history.

Reading a Transaction

Click any transaction hash to see: message type (MsgStake, MsgSend, MsgUnstake, claim/proof submissions), block height, status (Success/Failed), fee, and from/to addresses.

Dashboards

Dashboards → Relay Analytics

poktscan.com/dashboards/relay-analytics

The most important dashboard for understanding network demand. Shows computed units and relay volume over time, broken down by service. Filter by time period or specific services. Watch this to understand whether Pocket’s overall demand is growing or contracting.

Dashboards → Node Running

poktscan.com/dashboards/node-running

Tracks Claims submitted, Proofs submitted, and Expired Proofs over time. A high expired proof rate indicates network-wide issues. Useful for operators diagnosing conditions and researchers tracking protocol health.

Dashboards → Tokenomics

Shows mint, burn, and net inflation over time. With PIP-41 active, burn should exceed mint at growing relay volumes.

Tip

The Suppliers page has powerful filters: All, Staked, Unstaking, Unstaked, Low Balance, Low Stake, Below Min Stake. The Low Balance filter is especially useful for spotting nodes at risk of failing proof submissions.

Tools

Operator Tool

poktscan.com/tools/operator — the personalized dashboard for node operators. Add up to 10 Supplier addresses and see aggregated:

  • Rewards: POKT earned over time, per-address or grouped
  • Claim/Proof Comparison: Claims vs. proofs vs. expired — any gap means lost rewards
  • Rewards by Service: Which chains generate the most revenue for your nodes
  • Slashing: Any slashing events

This is the recommended monitoring tool for anyone running Supplier nodes or delegating via Igniter.

Understanding Key Metrics

Computed Units vs. Relays: Both measure work, but CUs determine economics. Different services have different CU costs per relay. Watching CUs is more informative than relay counts for understanding economic activity.

Indexer Block lag: POKTscan is typically 1–2 blocks behind the chain. If a transaction hasn’t appeared yet, wait 30–60 seconds and refresh.

Claim/Proof ratio: A healthy operation shows Claims ≈ Proofs with zero Expired Proofs. Any expired proofs mean lost rewards — investigate RelayMiner logs immediately.

Supplier filter meanings:

  • Low Balance: May not have enough POKT for claim/proof transaction fees
  • Low Stake: Below threshold that may affect session participation
  • Below Min Stake: Below the 59,500 POKT protocol minimum — will be forcibly unstaked
